Marissa Isang: Strategic Storytelling, Content & Production Strategist

I've spent my whole career telling other people's stories.

It started in television, where I spent years producing news, including at WLS, ABC7 Chicago. I earned three Emmy nominations along the way and learned a lesson that still shapes how I approach storytelling today: Find the human in the story and make it matter.

From there, my career expanded into branded storytelling and live events, and eventually into tech. Today, I lead content and narrative strategy at Amazon, helping turn complex, fast-moving ideas into stories people can understand and connect with. I've built storytelling programs from the ground up, shaped narratives around emerging technology and innovation, created immersive employee experiences, and trained more than 230 leaders to communicate with confidence on stage.

Throughout my career, the work has always come back to the same thing: making big ideas clear. Whether I'm developing a story for employees, preparing an executive for the stage or creating an experience that brings a business to life, I think about what the audience needs to know, why they should care and what will make the story resonate with them.

That approach has become especially important in my work with AI and emerging technology. As technology moves quickly, I believe storytelling can help people understand what is changing, why it matters and where they fit into it. I want people to feel invited into what comes next, not overwhelmed by it.

Off the clock, I'm a wife and mom, a reformer Pilates enthusiast, an avid traveler and someone who will always make time for good reality TV. Curiosity has always made me a better storyteller, and I try to carry that with me, whether I'm learning something new, exploring a new place or finding a story worth telling.

Have a story that's hard to tell? Let's make it clear.
